Dropped $200 on an AI copywriting tool and it was a disaster

I saw all these ads for this AI writing assistant that promised to crank out blog posts in minutes. Figured for $200 a month it'd be a no-brainer for my side hustle. But after two weeks of using it, everything came out super generic and full of weird facts. I spent more time fixing errors than if I'd just written stuff myself. Cancelled it today and went back to doing it manually. Has anyone else found an AI tool that actually saves time without being a headache?

Honestly, I gotta push back on that "cats are reptiles" stuff. Yeah sure the AI hallucinates sometimes but that sounds like you were feeding it bad prompts or using some budget version of the tool. The real issue is people expect magic from a $200 subscription without learning how to actually use it right. I've been using Jasper for like 8 months now and it saves me hours every week on email drafts and social posts. You just have to treat it like a junior writer who needs clear instructions and fact-checking, not some genius that spits out finished work. The time savings come from getting a solid 70% done draft in seconds then tweaking the rest, not from hitting publish on whatever it barfs out. And that Eiffel Tower thing? A quick "check this" command or specifying the location in your brief would fix that before it even hits the page.

Man I had the exact same experience with one of those tools. It kept insisting that the Eiffel Tower was in London and that cats are reptiles, so I was spending more time fact-checking than actually writing.
