I was wrong about auto-generated meeting notes, here's why

Honestly, I spent the last year rolling my eyes at AI meeting summarizers. Every demo felt like it just spat out random bullet points. But my team at work in Austin started using one last month and I finally gave in after our 3rd missed deadline from a garbled action item. The tool caught a specific follow-up about the July API rollout that I totally glossed over in the call. Now I check its output against my own notes, and honestly it's more accurate than half my coworkers. Has anyone else had a similar flip on a specific AI tool you thought was gimmicky?

Notice how we're all skeptical of the AI stuff until it solves one tiny problem we actually care about. That's the pattern with the auto-generated meeting notes and honestly it's the same with voice assistants or spam filters. Once a tool saves me from a specific dumb mistake once, I'm hooked for life.
