Just saw the new AI from DeepSeek handle a full legal doc in under 10 seconds

A few months back, my friend in law school was pulling all-nighters just to review contracts. Last week, he showed me how he uses DeepSeek's latest model to get a summary and flag key points almost instantly. The difference in his free time is crazy, like he actually has weekends now. Has anyone else tried using these new AI tools for heavy paperwork?

Honestly, I was pretty skeptical about AI for real work. Then I had to go through a mountain of old project reports. Let DeepSeak scan them and it pulled out every mention of budget changes in minutes. Saved me a full day of just skimming. I get it now.

And that's the thing, people treat AI like it's still science fiction but it's already just another tool in the box. I see it all the time now, people using it for the boring grunt work that used to eat up whole afternoons. It's like when power tools first showed up in shops, everyone thought they were cheating until they saw how much faster stuff got done. You still have to know what you're looking for, but letting the machine do the heavy lifting on the tedious parts just makes sense.

My professor said AI could cut case review time by seventy percent.
