My AI writing assistant suddenly got way better at catching tone

I have been using the same AI tool for editing my emails at work for about 8 months now, and up until last week it kept missing when I sounded too pushy or informal. Then I updated the model to the latest version, and now it spots those tone issues almost every time, even flagging stuff I didn't notice. Has anyone else seen a big jump in quality after a recent update, or was my old setup just broken in a specific way?

Think your old setup mightve had a bug, mine did the same thing before I updated.

Honestly, that's wild timing because I swear my AI went from sounding like a polite robot to my passive-aggressive aunt overnight. It called me out for using "per your request" in an email and said it sounded like I was mad about it. Ngl, I was a little offended until I reread the draft and yeah, I was definitely being salty without realizing it. Tbh, maybe they finally fed it enough passive-aggressive customer service replies to train it properly. Either way, if yours starts flagging your "thank you in advance" as too demanding, just know you're not alone.
