Spent $200 on a custom GPT for my small business and it basically runs my customer service now.

I was worried it would just give weird answers, but I trained it on our old support tickets and product info. It handles about 70% of the basic questions, so I only step in for the tough stuff. Anyone else tried something like this for their shop?

My bookstore's GPT handles about 60% of our opening hours and stock questions. Feeding it our old emails was the key to getting the tone right. It's a total game changer for small teams.

Ngl I was skeptical at first about feeding old emails to an AI. Thought it'd just spit out generic corporate nonsense. But seeing how your bookstore nailed the tone with that approach actually makes a ton of sense. The old emails already have your real voice and your weird product names baked in. Might have to try this with our shop's random product descriptions and see if it picks up on our inside jokes too.

Did the same thing with our bakery's FAQ. Training it on real customer chats made all the difference. It even learned our weird cake size names.
