Spent 6 hours training an AI model and it got worse than the free version
I spent all Saturday tweaking a custom model in RunPod for my blog content. Tested it on 15 sample posts and it came back with some weird formal tone I never asked for. The free version I was trying to beat actually writes better casual stuff lol. Has anyone else had their fine-tuning totally backfire on them like that?

Once fed my cat a gourmet diet and she started eating the houseplants instead.

It's like when you try to fix something that wasn't broken and suddenly everything goes sideways... happens all the time in life. You spend all that effort trying to improve on something and end up making it worse than where you started. Kind of reminds me of people who try to "optimize" their morning routine and end up missing their alarms instead. Sometimes the simple version just works better and we don't realize it until we mess with it too much.
