User feedback made me scrap my entire AI prompt template setup

Had a client last month tell me my AI-generated reports felt 'soulless and robotic.' They were right. I was using a generic template with 10 bullet points every time. Switched to a narrative style with one key insight upfront. Cut the fluff like market trends nobody asked for. Now I test every new template on a single user before rolling it out. Anyone else get called out for sounding like a bot?

Ngl that sucks for your buddy. I've been in that exact spot where someone pulls you aside and tells you your emails sound like they came from a robot who just read a management textbook. It's honestly brutal when you think you're being professional and it just comes off wrong. Rewriting everything is a pain but honestly it's better than getting roasted like that. People just want you to talk like a normal human being, not like you're trying to sell them something in every sentence.
