Dropped $200 on an AI meeting summarizer and it actually cut my weekly meetings by 40%

I was skeptical but after three weeks of using it I'm saving about 5 hours a week on follow-ups and note-taking - has anyone else tried one of these or am I just lucky?

Pretty sure most of these tools just spit out generic summaries you could write yourself in 10 minutes. Five hours sounds like you were just taking really bad notes before.

Oh totally, "generic summaries you could write yourself in 10 minutes" is exactly what I see with most of these tools. I tried one that was supposed to summarize a bunch of investor calls I was following, and all it gave me was "the company feels good about their quarterly performance and sees growth opportunities ahead." Like, no kidding. That's the kind of vague stuff you'd write if you were half asleep during a meeting. The really bad ones just pull the first sentence of every paragraph and call it a summary. You end up with this disjointed mess that makes no sense. At that point you might as well just paste the original text into a word counter and call it a day.
