My friend told me to wait on buying a new GPU for AI work, and he was right

He said, 'Hold off for three months, the next gen is coming,' and I almost spent $1,200 on a 4090 last month. Now the new models are announced with way better specs for the same price. Has anyone else had a tech insider tip save them from a bad buy?

My uncle always said he could predict the weather by his knee pain. I see it more as good guesswork than real foresight, the_fiona. The future's just too messy for anyone to actually see.

I mean I get that this sounds cool and all but nobody can actually see the future like that. Even psychics admit their predictions are really just guesses based on patterns and probabilities. The future hasn't happened yet so there's literally nothing to see, you know? Maybe it's just me but I feel like people who claim they can see the future are usually just really good at reading people or making lucky guesses. It's more about intuition and pattern recognition than actual foresight.
