Thinking about how fast the AI video stuff is moving now
Three years ago, I was messing with some of the first text-to-video models and the clips were just a blurry mess of colors for maybe two seconds. Last month, I saw a demo from a new startup where the AI could make a 10-second clip of a cat wearing a hat that actually looked real, with smooth movement. Then just last week, a big company dropped a research paper showing they can now generate a full minute of consistent video from a single sentence prompt. It's wild to see it go from those weird, glitchy squares to something you could almost believe was filmed with a camera. The jump in quality from month to month is getting crazy. Has anyone else been following this specific area and seen a demo that really blew your mind recently?

Three times I've fallen for those hyper-realistic AI cat videos on Facebook (you know the ones with the weird shadows). Best advice I got was from a tech friend who said to check the paws and teeth - AI still messes those up constantly. Also zoom in on the background text, it's usually garbled nonsense. It's exhausting having to fact-check everything now, but better than being fooled again.
