A frozen fry became a missile in the middle of my performance review
I was halfway through my yearly review on Zoom, trying to look focused while my air fryer cooked lunch. I had tossed in some frozen curly fries, thinking they'd be quiet. Suddenly, there was a loud bang and a fry shot out, hitting my laptop screen. My boss stopped mid-sentence to ask if everything was exploding over here. I had to explain it was just my air fryer acting up, which got a laugh from the whole team. Now, every time we have a video call, someone asks if my kitchen is safe. It's a silly story that made remote work feel a bit more human... and hazardous.

Yikes, that unlocked a memory of my air fryer launching a whole chicken nugget at my cat. The thing just noped out of the basket and sailed across the room. I guess we all learn the hard way that those trays need a good shake.

My air fryer once ejected a frozen fry like a rocket, straight into my dog's water bowl! It's basically a tiny food cannon sometimes.
