Finally switched from parchment to silicone mats in the air fryer
Used parchment paper for 2 years because everyone said it was easier, but switched to silicone mats last month after burning through a roll in 3 weeks. Anyone else find the mats do a way better job getting the bottom of fries crispy?

Wait, do you preheat the silicone mat before dropping the fries in? I found that makes a huge difference for getting that bottom crunch. I just throw the mat in while the air fryer heats up, then add the fries after 3 minutes. Also, dont crowd them too much, leave some space so the air can move under the basket. The mat definitely helps with cleanup too, just rinse it off real quick instead of scrubbing burnt parchment pieces.
