Hot take: my sister in law told me I was going to burn down my kitchen using parchment in the air fryer
So this went down at her place in Tacoma about 3 weeks ago, she saw me line my basket with parchment and just about lost it, said the paper lifts up into the heating coil and catches fire. I looked it up that night and honestly she is not crazy, loose parchment flying around near that top element is a real thing people post about. What saved me is I now punch holes and weigh the corners down with a little rack or the food itself, and I keep the paper well under the coil line. Also I quit walking away from the machine during the first 2 minutes, that is when stuff shifts the most. Anyone else have a close call with liners, or am I the only one who got a lecture over it?
