My air fryer chicken came out like rubber 4 times in a row this week
I tried making boneless thighs at 375 for 12 minutes and they were tough as shoe leather. Then I bumped it to 400 for 10 minutes and somehow got the same result. Finally figured out I was overcrowding the basket because my wife bought a 5 pound pack. Has anyone else had a run of bad batches like this or am I just doing something dumb?

Oh man, I've been there. Last week I tried making wings at 380 for 15 minutes and they came out like I was chewing on a tire. My wife just gave me this look from across the table and I knew it was bad. I think my problem was I didn't let the chicken sit out for like 10 minutes before cooking it, so the cold meat just seized up right away in the basket. Plus I was too lazy to pat them dry with paper towels. Also, overcrowding is a real killer, your wife buying a 5 pound pack sounds exactly like something mine would do too. So yeah, you're probably not dumb, just fighting against cold wet chicken and a packed basket like the rest of us.
