My air fryer saved dinner after a power cut last Thursday
The power went out for two hours right when I was supposed to start cooking. I had a pack of chicken thighs and some broccoli ready to go. I fired up my gas grill outside to use its side burner for the air fryer, which was the only appliance I could run off a small generator. The chicken got crispy in about 22 minutes, and we ate by flashlight. Has anyone else had to get creative with where they plug in their air fryer?

Honestly, my air fryer would just trip the breaker.

Ugh, same. My old apartment couldn't handle one either. It's so annoying.

My gas grill side burner trick saved me too last winter (during a snowstorm, no less). I ran an extension cord from the garage generator through the kitchen window and plugged the air fryer in right on the counter. The chicken thighs came out perfect in about 20 minutes, but the broccoli steamed in foil right next to it. We ate by lantern light and it felt like a real adventure honestly. The only issue was the generator humming loud enough to drown out conversation, so dinner was quiet but tasty. I've kept that setup handy ever since, just in case.
