My frozen fries went from soggy to crisp after I tried a trick from a cooking blog

I used to just dump them in the basket, but the blog said to give them a quick spray with oil and shake the basket halfway through. The difference after 12 minutes was huge, they actually got that restaurant-style crunch. Anyone else have a simple trick for frozen foods in the air fryer?

Honestly, @the_jason, skipping the oil spray works fine for me, just shake them hard.

lol "just shake them hard" makes it sound like you're trying to fix a wobbly table leg, not make crispy potatoes. Honestly though, I've been there too. One time I forgot the oil entirely and ended up with what can only be described as sad little pebbles. They were still edible, but definitely not the crowd pleaser I was going for. So congrats on making that work, you must have some serious shaking skills.
