Spent 45 minutes trying to figure out why my chicken was raw. Forgot to plug the air fryer in.

Oh man, that's rough. I've done the exact same thing with my slow cooker before, spent an hour wondering why the beans were still hard. It happens to the best of us when you're rushing around or just not thinking straight. At least you didn't serve it to guests and have them all realize it was cold in the middle, right? I bet you felt pretty silly once you figured it out, but hey, we've all been there. The important thing is you caught it before you tried to eat it and got a mouthful of raw chicken. Better luck next time, fellow forgetful cook.

@richardknight has a good point about catching it before serving. A little trick I learned is to always plug the slow cooker in as soon as I set it down, before I start adding food. That way there's no chance of forgetting to turn it on later.

Used to think that was overkill but @miam11 might be onto something here. Plugging it in first is such a simple habit that eliminates the whole "did I even turn this on" panic later. Definitely gonna steal that trick for my next batch of chili.
