Why do air fryer recipe blogs always forget to mention the shake halfway point?

I was making fries from a well-known site and they turned out unevenly cooked. The instructions had no reminder to shake the basket, so one side was burnt. Is this a common oversight or am I just unlucky?

The 'shake halfway point' is usually in recipes I use, so your case seems rare.

Actually thought that was just a weird thing my recipe did. Then I checked a few others and saw it more often. Guess you're right about it being common.
