Am I the only one who prefers manual torque wrenches over digital ones?
Honestly, I know everyone is switching to digital torque wrenches for accuracy, but I stick with my old Snap-on clicker type. Last week I was torquing landing gear bolts on a 737 and the digital one I borrowed kept beeping at me for no reason, so I went back to manual and got it done in half the time. Has anyone else had issues with those digital readouts freezing up?

That 737 landing gear story actually made me reconsider my stance on digital wrenches.

and now im sitting here thinking about how that specific bolt on the 737 actually backed itself out mid-flight? thats the part that got me. you guys are talking about digital wrenches and im still trying to wrap my head around a bolt just deciding to quit its job at 35,000 feet. that mechanic must have felt like the luckiest unlucky person ever when they found that.
