Checked out an old DC-3 in a field outside Tucson, found a stash of NOS washers

Stopped by a small airport near Tucson last Tuesday to look at a derelict DC-3 someone was parting out. The skin was rough, but the tail section had a box of brand new cotter pins and washers still in the original paper wrapping from the 1960s. Ended up paying the guy $40 for the whole lot, which is ridiculous considering what a single specialty washer goes for new. That find made my whole week, honestly. Anyone else ever stumble on old stock like that in a random hangar or salvage yard?
