Just realized the "lucky" torque wrench I bought at a garage sale in Reno for $15 actually holds calibration
I figured the Snap-on guy was just being nice when he checked it on his tester and told me it was dead on at 80 ft-lbs, so I ran it against our shop's calibrator twice and it passed both times, has anyone else gotten burned or blessed by cheap secondhand tools that way?
A $15 Snap-on that passes calibration twice is basically a unicorn. My brother got a torque wrench from a pawn shop in Sparks that was off by 20 ft-lbs, so consider yourself lucky.
