Pro tip: that torque wrench you dropped last month might be way off now

Happened last Tuesday. Was torquing down some landing gear bolts on a 737 at work. Felt like the wrench clicked too early. Double checked with the shop's snap-on and I was 12 ft-lbs low. That drop onto the concrete apron I did two weeks ago? Yeah that's why. Took it to the calibration guy and he said it happens all the time. Had mine for 3 years and never sent it in. How often do you guys actually calibrate your personal torque wrenches?

Agree with @pat_park, send it in yearly even if it feels fine.

Yo, did you really go 3 years without checking it? That's rough man, sorry that happened. I'm guilty of the same thing honestly, I only send mine in when I start noticing something feels funny.
