Spent $180 on a "time saving" digital torque adapter that won't hold a calibration
Bought it 3 months ago to speed up wheel and brake jobs, and it drifted 8 ft-lbs off spec by week two, so now it just sits in my box while I do everything by feel and recheck with the shop's beam wrench anyway, anyone found a brand that actually stays true?
Man that stings, 180 bucks for something that quits on you in two weeks is rough. I feel you on the whole recheck thing too, it's like what was the point of buying the fancy tool if I'm still grabbing the beam wrench every time. Mine didn't drift quite that fast but it was off enough after a few months that I stopped trusting it. Honestly half of these adapters seem to be the same guts in a different shell, so I'd check reviews from guys who actually put a year on them before dropping money again.
