Took the job in Bakersfield over the union shop in Oakland
Everyone said I was crazy to leave a union gig for a non-union regional line. 18 months later I've got my A&P signed off on more diverse airframes than most guys see in 5 years. The pay is 3 bucks less an hour, but the hands-on reps are way better. Anyone else trade security for experience and not regret it?

3 bucks less an hour" is nothing to sneeze at, but I guess it depends on how long that "18 months" actually lasts. Still, you're betting a lot on those reps turning into something bigger, so I hope the gamble pays off.
