Torque wrench discrepancy on a Cessna brake line, who do you back?

Snapped a brake line fitting at KPDX last Tuesday because my digital torque wrench read 75 inch-pounds but the calibrated beam unit said 65, and I trust the beam. Do you side with electronics that need constant calibration, or the old school needle gauge that never lies until it does?

Man I read a thread about this exact thing last week, some IA swore by his beam wrench on anything with fluid. I get it though, if the digital unit is off by 10 pounds that's a HUGE deal on a brake line. I'd back the beam too, at least until it gets dropped once and then nobody trusts it either.
