Got a brand new wireless panel that just bricked on me after 2 days

Went out to a house in Fresno yesterday for a no-signal complaint and the thing was completely dead... couldn't even get a factory reset to take. Anyone else had those DSC panels just give up like that?

Whoa, that's rough. One thing people don't always consider is that the power supply in these units can be surprisingly picky about the voltage coming in. I've seen a few cases where a slight dip in the line voltage from the transformer just kills the panel's brain slowly over a couple days, not right away. Could be a bad transformer or even a loose neutral on the main panel feeding it. Might be worth checking the AC voltage at the board with a meter before you write it off completely.

sage_morgan75, I've actually seen 207 volts on a 240 line cause a PLC to act flaky before it finally gave up the ghost. What's the lowest voltage you've seen that still let the thing boot up but then killed it after a few hours? Because I'm trying to figure out if it's the transformer or maybe a bad splice upstream that's dropping under load but reads fine when idle.
