Guy in Phoenix paid me $400 to move one keypad 3 inches
So I do alarm installs on the side and this retired electrician named Harold watched me mount his keypad about 4 feet up his hallway wall, eyeballed it for a solid minute, and asked me to shift it down to 44 inches. Said he'd watched his wife struggle to reach theirs for 20 years and wished he'd said something back when it got put in. He tipped me $400 on a $75 job and told me to always mount low unless the customer says otherwise. Do you all set a standard height on every job, or just go with what the customer wants?
