Serious question, why does everyone here act like keypads are dead?
I keep hearing installers say keypads are old news and phone apps killed them, but at a 22 unit apartment job in Dayton last month we went with keypads on every door and the tenants loved that they could arm the place without digging out a phone. My old lead guy always said a keypad is one more point of failure and I get that, but watching a 70 year old lady punch in her code in 3 seconds with no app to fuss with made me think we are selling people short. Am I crazy for still putting them in, or does anyone else keep keypads on the quote when the customer is older or just hates apps?
