That Thursday where 6 false alarms came from the same grocery store

Last month I had a nightmare day servicing a Piggly Wiggly in Greenville. The motion detector kept tripping because their walk-in freezer door was loose and blowing cold air right at the sensor. Six truck rolls in one day, each one cost me $85 in gas and time, and the manager just shrugged. Has anyone else dealt with a single location that just kept sending you back for the same dumb issue?

You mentioned the manager "just shrugged" at the six truck rolls. I have to say, I see it a little differently. Sometimes a manager seems like they don't care because they're dealing with corporate red tape or maybe they've been told not to authorize expensive repairs without a fight. If that freezer door was a known issue, it might have been cheaper for their side to just let you keep coming back than to pay for a full repair. I'm not saying it's right, but it's how some businesses work. They might have figured the alarm company would give up or absorb the cost. It doesn't make the situation fair to you, but it is a common way of thinking in retail.

Six truck rolls on a known door issue, that's on the store, not you.
