Took me 5 hours to find a bad zone on a 20 year old panel in Cranston
Had a customer in Cranston last Tuesday with a zone that kept tripping at random, sometimes at 3am, sometimes not for days. I swapped the door contact, then the wire run, then the resistor, and still nothing, so I finally pulled the panel cover off and found a corroded terminal screw on zone 4 that was barely making contact. Five hours for one loose screw, and I only caught it because I wiggled every wire while the system was armed. Anyone got a faster way to chase an intermittent zone before you start ripping out contacts?
