Heads up if you're hiking the Crow Pass Trail this summer

I was up there last weekend and the bridge over Eagle River is completely washed out, so you'll need to ford it which is sketchy as hell right now with the snowmelt, has anyone else dealt with that crossing recently?

Had to cross that exact spot two summers ago after a freak storm... was sketchy enough then, can't imagine what it's like now with all the runoff. The current was strong enough to knock me off balance even when the water was lower. Appreciate the heads up, was planning on heading up there next month but might push it back now.

Funny how stuff works like that - the spots everyone warns about are usually fine by the time you get there, while the easy parts sneak up and trip you.

The current was already sketchy when I crossed it in early April at 75 CFS. @the_ruby I get that runoff makes everything worse, but I actually think the crossing is more manageable now than two years ago. The trail crew put in some new anchor points on the downstream side after that bad slide in 2021. I was up there last week and the water was moving fast but the rocks held firm. Maybe I just got lucky with the timing.
