My uncle told me to get a proper winter kit before moving to Fairbanks
I mean, I figured my old Seattle coat would be fine, but he insisted on a real parka rated for like -40 and some heavy duty boots. That first winter, when it hit -30 for a solid week, I finally got it. Anyone else have a piece of advice from a local that saved your hide up here?
