Remember that couple who bought the old diner on Elm Street? My friend said they barely stayed afloat until summer visitors started coming through for weekend trips. Those guests are the main reason our small town shops can keep their doors open.

Yeah it's true but it makes me nervous... like what happens if the summer crowd stops coming one year? My cousin runs a gift shop and she says November through April are just dead, she's barely making rent. We get so packed in July you can't even park downtown but then it's a ghost town again. Kinda feels like we're building everything on sand.
