Warning: skip the Kenai cruise and drive the Seward Highway instead
Everyone on r/alaska keeps pushing those glacier cruises out of Seward, but I took the drive down from Anchorage last month and that road blew the boat away. The cruise ran about $180 a person for 5 hours, and half of it was staring at the same gray water with a crowd of 200 folks fighting for rail space. The highway cost me nothing in gas beyond what I was already burning, and I pulled over at Beluga Point and several turnouts where the mountains and Turnagain Arm just open up in front of you. Anyone else think the drive beats the cruise, or am I wrong here?
