Anime forum schedules got me sleeping like a normal person
Honestly, I used to binge anime threads all night and wake up exhausted. Tbh, my sleep was a mess because I'd scroll through discussions until 3 AM. Then I joined a weekly anime watch party that had set talk times. Ngl, at first I thought it was lame to have a schedule for fun stuff. But sticking to those fixed hours made me stop late-night browsing. Now I go to bed at a decent time and feel way better in the mornings. It's funny how a simple change in how I chat about shows fixed my sleep. I'm totally sold on structured anime talks now.

Doesn't a fixed schedule take all the fun out of spontaneous anime chats?

You know, when smith.ben said fixed schedules kill spontaneous chats, it got me thinking. I mean, maybe the opposite is true? Having a set time to talk means I actually sit with the episodes for a few days first. I end up with way better stuff to say than I would at 2 am when I'm half asleep. The chat itself feels more fun because everyone's actually awake and has real thoughts. It fixed my sleep too, but weirdly the talks got better, not worse.

My sleep was a wreck from late-night manga scans. Setting a hard stop at midnight for all screen time changed everything. I use a site blocker that kicks in automatically, so I'm not tempted to just 'check one more thread'. Waking up without that groggy feeling is worth the minor hassle.
