Got peer pressured into a 6 hour One Piece marathon at 2am and now my sleep is wrecked
So last Saturday my roommate comes home from work around 10pm and goes "you have never seen One Piece, we are fixing this tonight." I told him I had brunch plans at 9am the next morning but he already had the first 6 episodes queued up on the TV. One episode turns into three, then he starts yelling about how I cannot stop before Arlong Park, so we push through to like 2am. My 9am brunch got canceled and I showed up to work on Monday looking like a zombie. My question is for people who started late like me, did you just binge it all or pace yourself with a few episodes a night?
Man you are not even at the real problem yet. The thing nobody warns you about is that once you catch up to the current episodes you get stuck watching WEEKLY, and that is a way worse sleep killer than any binge. I binged like 900 episodes in a couple months and thought I was done, but now every Sunday night there is a new one and I stay up for it even when I have work at 7. So pacing yourself now just delays the pain, you are gonna end up on the weekly grind either way. My honest take is just binge it while you can because the freedom of skipping ahead whenever you want goes away forever once you hit the wall. Also your roommate is right about Arlong Park, you cannot stop before that.
