My mom actually asked me about my favorite anime character

I've been into anime for a while, but my family never really got it. Last week, my mom saw me watching and asked who my favorite character was. We ended up talking for an hour about the story and themes. It felt really nice to share this part of my life with her. Now she even wants to watch an episode together.

That's cool your mom asked about your favorite character. I saw a forum thread where people talked about parents watching anime with them. One person said their dad got really into 'Attack on Titan' for the plot twists. Another mentioned their mom loving 'Your Lie in April' because of the music. Sharing stories like that can really help families understand each other. Good stuff.

There's a blog post I saw about a grandma who loved 'Spirited Away' after her grandson introduced it. She compared it to folk tales from her youth. This kind of sharing helps families find common ground. Anime often has themes that appeal to all ages, like friendship or loss. My dad got into 'Demon Slayer' because of the art and music. We bond over discussing each episode after watching it.
