Okay so I finally figured out how to find good new anime without getting stuck in endless 'top 10' lists

My watchlist was a mess and I kept starting shows that just weren't for me. I started using a site called AniList and set up a custom filter for 'slice of life' shows with less than 20 episodes that aired after 2020, and it actually worked. Anyone else have a specific search method that cuts through the noise?

Filters are cool but they can still miss the vibe of a show. I just ask my friend who knows my taste, saves a ton of time.

Your friend must have great taste then. How many shows have they actually steered you right on, like a solid hit rate? I feel like even friends can miss sometimes.
