One line in a review thread changed how I binge watch

Back in 2021 I used to start every new show by reading the top 5 comments on the first episode thread. Someone said 'you are letting other people's hot takes pre-chew your food' and honestly that hit harder than it should have. Now I go in blind for the first 3 episodes, no threads, no spoiler tags, just the show. I still peek at discussions after, but never before. Has anyone else broken a bad habit like that after a random forum post?

Man, that's basically how I approach most things now, I stopped reading reviews before trying any new restaurant or bar because everyone's got an angle and it just ruins the surprise.
