Remember when fansubs used to have good translations?

I tried to rewatch my old DVD of Gundam Wing yesterday and the subtitles were so bad lmao. The translation was all over the place, like someone used Google translate in 2005. I ended up just turning them off and watching in english dub instead. Does anyone else notice how sloppy old official subs used to be compared to today?

Always thought older subs were fine until I tried rewatching Gundam Wing last week.

The subs were actually pretty solid, the real issue was that Gundam Wing's writing was always a mess even back then.
