Rewatching 'Wonder Egg Priority' showed me its real mistake

I see many fans blame the studio for how this anime ended. They think production issues caused the messy finish. But I watched it again and the writing is what went wrong. It started with a clear focus on personal struggles. Then it threw in too many new ideas that did not fit. The last few episodes felt rushed because the plot got too big. Do you think the story or the studio is more to blame?

That show reminds me of another anime that also lost its plot halfway through.

Totally get that feeling lol. Saw it happen with a big shonen show that kept adding filler arcs until the main story got lost. Felt like they were just making it up as they went after a while.

Was it that one where the main guy's power kept changing every season? Like @abbyc33 said about filler, it felt like the writers forgot their own rules. I gave up after the third big "final form" that wasn't final at all.
