Saw the subbed vs dubbed debate explode at an anime convention in Chicago last weekend
I was at Anime Midwest and walked into a panel room where the host asked which version of Attack on Titan people prefer. Half the room yelled subbed and the other half yelled dubbed and it got super heated for a minute. Like people were actually arguing about voice actor quality and translation accuracy like it was a life or death thing. I get why subs feel more authentic but dubs let me actually look at the animation without reading. Which side do you guys land on and do you think one is objectively better or is it all just preference?

Wait were you there for the whole "dub vs sub" shouting match at the Attack on Titan panel? I went to a con last year and the same thing happened during the My Hero Academia screening, people were literally screaming at each other over which voice actor cried better.

Chicago anime drama sounds WILD, people almost threw hands over Attack on Titan voice actors?
