Spent 3 hours hunting for a single scene in Evangelion because I misremembered a quote
I spent way too long trying to find that 'I'm so fucked up' line from Shinji, only to realize it was actually from a fan dub I watched in 2016. Anyone else waste a whole afternoon chasing memories that aren't even in the real show?

Oh yeah, @grant728, I never actually found the clip. That's the worst part. I was like 45 minutes deep into scrolling through some sketchy anime site from 2012 before I even questioned if it was real. Ended up watching three random episodes of the rebuilds thinking maybe it was from there. Spoiler alert: it wasn't. Kept telling myself "just one more scene" like an idiot. By hour two I was just mad at my own brain for making up memories.
