Still think Naruto Shippuden filler is worth skipping

Had this buddy back in high school who swore skipping the filler made the show better, but he missed the whole point of the Chikara arc where they actually fleshed out the side characters' motivations. I told him he was losing like 30% of the emotional payoff and he got defensive, lol. Anyone else ever had a friend just not get why the pacing works better if you sit through the slow parts?

Wait, you're telling me there's people who actually SKIP the Chikara arc? That one was SO good, man, I can't even believe someone would miss that.
