That overheard take on Re:Zero at a coffee shop in Portland got me
I was grabbing a latte near Powell's Books last Saturday and this group at the next table was arguing that Subaru is actually a bad protagonist because he cries too much. It got me thinking, I've watched the show twice now, episode 18 still hits me harder than almost anything else I've seen, but maybe they had a point about his constant whining in season 1? Do you think a more stoic main character would've made the story better or just less human?
