Vent: That anime speed-run at the con last weekend broke my brain

I went to Anime Expo in LA last Saturday and saw someone trying to watch all of Naruto Shippuden in 3 days on a laptop in the lobby. Dude had like 4 energy drinks and looked dead inside by hour 12. It made me realize I've been doing the same thing at home for years just to keep up with new shows. I used to binge 20 episodes a night and remember nothing but the main fights. Now I force myself to watch 2 episodes max per day and actually enjoy the story beats. Has anyone else had to slow down their watch pace to stop burning out on great shows?

Facts. I did 85 episodes of One Piece in a weekend and remembered zero plot.

85 episodes in a weekend? Thats 28 hours of anime minimum, maybe closer to 30 with openings and recaps. Your brain must have been a smooth puddle by Sunday night. I get zoning out on a binge but forgetting the whole arc is impressive in a sad way. Did you at least catch which pirate crew they were chasing or was it just blobs of color at that point?
