Went to the new anime shop in the mall and the whole vibe was off

Checked out that new place, Otaku Central, in the Riverside Galleria yesterday. They had a huge section for figures, but every single one was from like three super popular shows. I counted 12 different Demon Slayer figures and 8 Jujutsu Kaisen ones. It felt more like a pop culture gift shop than a real anime spot. Where's the stuff for people who watch more than the top five shows on Crunchyroll? Has anyone else found a good store that actually carries a wider range of series?

Ugh, I know exactly what you mean. I went in there last week and it felt so generic, like they just ordered the same bulk stuff every other mall store gets. I mean, you gotta check out the smaller place over on 5th, Anime Archive. The owner actually knows his stuff and will order things for you if he doesn't have it. It's the only spot I've found that even carries older series.

Yeah, the bulk stuff feels so cheap and mass produced.

My collection is basically just Naruto and Dragon Ball, so maybe I'm part of the problem. That place sounds like it was made for people like me.
