Changed my mind on testing capacitors with a plain multimeter
I always told new guys in the shop that a basic multimeter was good enough for cap checks, then last week I pulled a run cap on a Kenmore fridge that read fine cold but kept dropping out under load. Now I keep a $60 ESR meter in the van for anything I already have apart, anyone else get burned by a reading that looked okay?
