Hit 10,000 fridge compressor swaps last Tuesday and it messed with my head

Ive been keeping a log since I started in 2015. Didnt realize til I hit 10 grand that Ive basically rebuilt a small towns worth of fridges. It blew my mind cuz each one had a different crazy reason it died. Anyone else track their numbers and get surprised?

Dude, the 'each one had a different crazy reason it died' part hit me hard. I'm only at like 4,500 swaps myself, but I started keeping notes on the failures too. Had one where a family's pet hamster chewed through the condenser line, and another where the owner had a roof leak that dripped right into the control board for two years. It's wild how creative things can break.

Nah tracking just makes you overthink it, they all break the same way eventually.
