Hit 10,000 service calls last month and it hit me different than I expected

I've been doing this trade for about 18 years now, mostly residential washers and dryers. Last month I looked at my logbook and realized I crossed the 10,000 service call mark. That number just stuck with me, you know? I remember my first call was a busted belt on a Whirlpool dryer out in the suburbs, took me almost two hours because I kept dropping screws. Now I can swap most belts in under 15 minutes without even thinking. It's wild to think about all the different machines I've seen just in my small area of Ohio. Some of those early models I worked on are basically antiques now, and here I am fixing the newer stuff that's honestly way more finicky. Does anyone else keep a rough count of calls or jobs over the years, or is that just my weird habit?

Ten thousand calls? That's a lot of numbers to keep track of.

Had a buddy who ran a telemarketing gig back in the day. He kept a spreadsheet on his wall with color coded tabs for each rep.
